Dimensional modelling is great for analysis but the standard Kimball approach is not particularly agile. We show how to build dimensional models within the data vault using some small extensions of the basic data vault model. This allows for completely incremental delivery of value, where fact metrics and dimensional attributes can be delivered one at a time, without needing any rebuild or reload of earlier work.
